PM2.5 NAAQS Designation Recommendation and Exceptional Events Demonstrations

Ecology has written a recommendation for whether Washington State meets EPA’s new PM2.5 standard. This recommendation includes a letter to EPA Region 10, a report showing that certain days at the Colville monitor in Stevens County were impacted by wildfire smoke in an exceptional event, and a report showing days impacted by wildfire smoke in 2021.
